WHO WE ARE
Marshall Strength was built from the ground up by husband-and-wife coaching team Dennis and Jenn Marshall — two lifelong trainers who share a passion for helping people move better, feel stronger, and live healthier lives.
We both started our careers as personal trainers over 20 years ago and met while working together at a gym in New York City. What began as a shared love of training turned into a partnership in life and business. In 2010, we opened CrossFit Garden City, where we built a thriving fitness community and coached thousands of athletes over the next 15 years.
After decades in the industry, we felt called to create something that reflected everything we’ve learned — a place rooted in smart, sustainable training, genuine connection, and a shared commitment to doing hard things well. No distractions, no B.S., no gimmicks, no quick fixes — just expert coaching, proven methods, and a gym built on unwavering standards, hard work...and just the right amount of tough love!
That’s how Marshall Strength was born.

DENNIS MARSHALL
Meathead
From the start, I’ve been obsessed with training. A lifelong athlete and unapologetic meathead, I fell in love with the process of getting stronger and testing what the human body is capable of.
Over the years, I’ve worked with everyone from first-time gym-goers to professional athletes, and my focus remains the same — helping people build strength, muscle, and confidence that carries over to both sport and life. I specialize in building smart, progressive programming that helps people experience long-term, sustainable results.
What I love most about coaching is seeing people confront challenge and come out stronger — physically and mentally. Watching someone push through hard work, face adversity, and realize what they’re capable of never gets old.
JENNIFER HUNTER-MARSHALL
Dancing Queen
I’ve been coaching for over 20 years, and I still love it as much today as when I first started. My approach blends strength training, mobility, and mindful movement — helping people not just get stronger, but move and feel better in their everyday lives.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with a wide range of clients — from new moms and beginners to masters athletes — and I always strive to meet people where they are. I hold a variety of certifications, including CrossFit Level 4 Coach, CrossFit Seminar Staff, Pre- and Postnatal Training, Kettlebells, Olympic Lifting, Powerlifting, Yoga, and Pilates (Mat and Reformer). I also have a background in the arts, with both a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Fine Arts, which has taught me the value of creativity and connection in coaching.
Outside the gym, I love spending time with my family, acting, and, of course, coaching — it’s truly what brings me the most joy. More than anything, I love helping people and, hopefully, bringing a little light and positivity into their day every time they walk through the doors.
